Issue: 7/1/26 Category: SHORT-TERM POSITIONS Short-term position: 4 months, full-time, 40 hours/week, 25 teaching/class hours/week, 7 days/week. Volunteer position. Teach private, group and open classes onboard, and student events including the Speech Festival, Project Presentation and Graduation Ceremony. Work location on board the MV Pacific World ship out of Tokyo, Japan. Proper visa, and 18 months of relevant full-time experience teaching English and/or Spanish as a second language required. Native level English speaker, TESL/TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification, and Japanese speaking ability preferred. SCHOOL PREFERS THAT APPLICANT CURRENTLY RESIDE IN JAPAN. University degree required for visa renewal or sponsorship. "Applicants must be able to obtain all relevant visas required to participate in the voyage for which they are applying." Accommodation: "accommodation and food onboard Peace Boat is provided for the duration of the voyage." "Volunteers must be able to obtain their own visas, health insurance and airfare.
