Issue: 7/16/26 Category: FULL-TIME TEACHING POSITIONS Full-time, 40 working hours/week, 24 teaching/class hours/week, 5 days/week including Sat and Sun. 260,000-285,000yen/month. "Teach Japanese children from 3-15 years whose parents temporarily lived in abroad. Instruct English language classes in English including English vocabulary building, English oral reading strategies, written tests and competitions, etc. and lecture on various topics with respect to the English language and literature. Maintain discipline in the classroom and administer tests to evaluate each student’s progress, grade students, assign and correct study assignments , and provide advice to individual student in English on customized learning strategies. Utilize knowledge of changing trends and score ratios of the entrance exams of various schools in Japan in order to recommend changes in the existing curriculum to the principal. Prepare teaching outlines for the courses of English language and literature, and Social Studies, select learning materials and books recommended by the English Teaching Specialists to develop and modify existing courses, teaching methodologies, teaching equipment, etc. Analyze appropriate teaching methodologies for each subject matter and class, and implement teaching strategies and academic curriculum effectively to increase the learning curves. Conduct student screening and placement to determine the level of incoming students’ oral and written English skills as well as academic knowledge level in the selected school subjects and categorize classes accordingly to ensure optimize learning environment. Issue progress report to students and their parents and counsel both student and parents about educational goals and choices and outline study guideline in order to achieve target academic level to enter particular school in Japan. Perform related duties in our school such as supervising study hall, and coordinating extracurricular student activities etc. Make a regular business report to the principal on a variety of teaching issues." Work location Azamino, Yokohama and Shibuya; Tokyo and Nihonbashi-Kayabacho, Tokyo. Native English speaker, and BA/BS (English or Education preferred) required. Proper visa, TESL/TEFL/TESOL certification, teaching license, and experience teaching English (writing essay) at International school or public schools ages 4G to 11G age level preferred. Accommodation: "the Company pays JPY9,000 per month only if the Employee lives in the Company-rented-apartment in Azamino, Yokohama." Paid vacation, transportation allowance, health insurance, and moving/relocation allowance (exact fee charged by the moving company selected by the company and airfare to Tokyo).
