Job Description

Issue: 7/16/26 Category: FULL-TIME TEACHING POSITIONS Full-time, 40 hours/week, to 18 teaching/class hours/week, M-F. 310,000-340,000yen/month. Teach GCP classes that adhere to ISA educational standards to Japanese junior and senior high school students at both public and private schools. "The GCP course is guided by the following subject domains: Communication Skills, Intercultural Skills, Multilingual Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Thinking Strategies, and Global Action." Teach at one large school or 2 smaller schools and complete all duties associated with the role of an instructor (grading, homework, project and portfolio guidance). Grade and give feedback on student work. Meet regularly with peer advisor and management team. Use lesson reporting protocol to keep and communicate a record of lessons to the management team. Participate in the school onboarding process. "Depending on scheduling requirements, most weeks will have planning days (non-teaching days) that will allow for remote work." Work location Tokyo, Osaka, Niigata, Nagano, Sendai, Aichi, Shizuoka, Ishikawa, Fukuoka, Gunma, or Tochigi. Proper visa, native level English speaker, solid interpersonal and communication skills, BA/BS, over three years teaching experience, 2 years of full-time in-classroom teaching experience in Japanese junior high or senior high schools, and conversation Japanese ability required.
